Can't play DOS videogames anymore? A free computer program is the answer!
Newer versions of Windows seem to have problems running the old DOS videogames. DosBox can help you deal with this.
It goes like this: You suddenly feel the urge to relieve your junior high school days and want to play Wolfenstein 3D again. You got hold of a copy and attempt to install it and then what? It's not working...
Windows is not opening the game and you can't play it.
The problem can be easily corrected though, thanks to an Open Source software program called DOSBox.
DOSBox is a DOS emulator, pretty much like any other videogame console system emulator. It runs old videogames as if they were actually running on an old computer operating system.
Pretty neat for those of us who still like to play the games on floppy disks.
Download DOSBox here.
